Driver licence share pass
Building the capability to add driving licence information in the format of a Apple Wallet. Built a Dropwizard api to generate the driver licence share pass in Apple Wallet format. Created a new front end user journey using Scala and the Play framework. The front-end interacts with numerous existing apis to get driver details and generate tokens to share a driver licence information. It also makes a call to the new drop wizard service to generate the apple wallet driver share pass. The service passed it’s alpha assessment with GDS and is currently undergoing Private Beta testing.
We are currently exploring a qr reader to scan the qr code contained within the apple wallet driver pass. We are also looking at alternative solutions to apple wallet to deliver a offline share pass to other platforms.
